Corporate Marketing Trumps Saftey

Look at the shot of the new Glaval Bus to the left, and you will notice that it has two orange poles on either side of its front. This poles are there to help with visibility in poor lighting conditions, improving saftey for the bus and people around it. Recently, however, these poles were painted a dark blue. The most likey reason is branding, as the colours of ETS are blue and silver. Of course, the blue paint now used on the poles isn't reflective, but I guess having a consistent corporate image is more important than such minor concerns as safe operation.

I agree, they should have just left it alone!

Actually, you are totally wrong!

I think that before you go trashing a company and making slanderous remarks like, "Corporate Marketing Trumps Saftey", you should educate yourself on the topic.

The orange "poles" are not there to add visibility to the bus in areas of low light. That's why the bus has freakin' headlights and marker lights! In case you are a total idiot... light bulbs put off more light than an orange "pole"!

The purpose of these, as you call them, orange "poles", is to allow the driver to safely judge their bumper distance from other objects.

The orange "poles", if you take a closer look at them, are still orange on the backside near the top... for the driver to use! Thus they are serving the their purpose!

So, to summarize... you slandered a company when you were uneducated on the topic. The orange "poles" are not there for the purpose you thought. They were added as an additional saftey feature.... the complete opposite of what you thought!

Try educating yourself before you slam a company... especially when the company is practicing saftey!

Also, for your information, the orange "poles", are actually called Bumper Sight Rods.

Thanks for being a dumbass and trashing a good company about saftey, when they were being proactive and safe. We need more losers like you out there, spreading false information! Good job!
